Horace Escue: Darker skin is actually more attractive since it is so effortlessly even and smooth as silk! All skin can be beautiful but to me the most attractive complexions belong to Black people. They come in all shades, from the lightest almost white, to the blackest ebony and the darker the better in my opinion! Be proud o your skin.

Esteb! an Faggett: I am on the lighter side of the spectrum of dark skinned and it has been a long time coming, but about 30 years ago, I learned to love my skin and sink colour. It is sad, but I grew up in a time when people of colour were not in the forefront. This was before the time of Oprah, and the only roll models I had were Martin Luther King Jr and Motown singers. Lillie Yarde: For me personally it's different so it took me a while to get used to it, without meaning to be racist I was programmed not to be attracted to black girls, because I grew up in an area where I never seen a black person then I met a few when I went to college and to be honest was nervous at first but then realised that they are the same and one of my closest friends is black.
