Patrica Loertscher: It depends what kind of dance you do, but most cities have dance troupes or dance performance groups. I live in Atlanta & have danced at several studios where they have lessons, but also have performance groups. I know there are salsa & Latin groups that go around the city and perform and there are belly dance troupes too. Those are the kinds of dance that I do, but as far as other types of dance go, I'm not sure.
Frank Gazaway: Not that I know of. Most dance schools want to train you in their specific technique and require you take however many classes in order to do their performance at the end of the term. However, if you want to perform by yourself, sign up for local talent shows and talent festivals. If you really want to show your talent against other people, sign up for dance competitions via websites as an independent. Patrick Bitsui: yes..you can find other people that can dance..form a dance group..enter dance competitions..practice together..can you choreograph?? someone needs to make up the dance routines you and your group will be doing..

Asa Soho: You have never learned everything there is to know about dance and you can just perform they will not allow you in the show unless you are in the classes. You will get alot out of the classes. The only thing I can suggest is to try out for a Dance Company or Dance Team. YOU CAN NOT JUST PERFORM with out practicing and excercising and learning. It is not safe for you or your fellow dancers.
