Voncile Slaubaugh: This is a poem about the gas being used in warfare during world war 1, its Wilfred Owen's view on the war fought in the trenches. GAS! Gas! Quick, boys!-- An ecstasy of fumbling,- you can almost feel the men running from an invisible force (i.e the gas) the horror of men running fleeing for their lives. As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.- Obviously the man the poet sees is not drowing but his lungs are filling with the gas which is similar to what happens when you drown (taking water into your lungs) Hopefully this helps you start, I don't want to be completing your homework for you (as you won't learn) but hopefully this will help you enough/give you ideas on how to start this.This is a very passi! onate and startling poem, read it again with the knowledge that this is about the gas during the war. For illustration, dependability and persistence are features that employers might like a well employee to have. Other features employers importance are: honesty, assertiveness, flexibility, difficulty fixing, friendliness, intelligence, management, enthusiasm, and a well humorousness.
