Question About Home-School?

Ermelinda Stalnaker: Who did you order your diploma from? You need to contact them and let them know you never received it. Were you assuming that someone was just going to send you one? Were you enrolled in a program that issues diplomas? IF you were homeschooled independent from any private school program, it is up to your parents to create your diploma and transcripts. You can order a really nice diploma from this website if you really want one: http://homeschooldiploma.com/or use this template to make your own: http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/articles/06030...ETA: Once again, if you are were homeschooled independent from any private school program, it is up to your parents to create your diploma and transcripts.Would you be in what system? If you want to go to college you submit the transcripts your parents made and fill out an application. If you have completed high school through homeschooling why would you want to take the GED? The GED is for drop outs that did! not complete high school....Show more

Georgia Dees: Unless you used a state sponsored correspondence/homeschool program or a program that offers a diploma along with record keeping, you probably need to take the GED to get into college. Otherwise, you have no proof you have actually completed school. States normally do not mail diplomas to independent homeschool students since they can't verify the academics met their standards. If your parents kept very good records, you may be able to create a transcript that will meet enrollment eligibility of some colleges. Talk to the admissions adviser at the college you want to apply to see what their policy is. You will also need to take either the SAT or ACT like regular students applying for college....Show more

Tom Romer: The state doesn't issue diplomas to homeschoolers, at least where I live. You can design your own diploma online. A good site that I've heard of is http://www.homeschooldiploma.com/ I got my diploma! through my homeschooling organization. No, I strongly recommen! d that you don't get your GED. It's the sign of a high school dropout.

Catheryn Barringer: You know you don't have to capitalize every letter in a sentence, right? Also, it's "through," not "threw." I would strongly recommend taking GED courses. Home-schooling didn't seem to work very well.

Cassidy Pangrazio: so even tho i was in home-school would it be in the systum that i finished school or would i have to get my GED to go to college or anything?
