Bob Pucella: Hi just fellow what u like i love color so when i decorate i look at the stuff i have like bed spread if it's in great shape then i change the color of the room buy nw throw pillows maybe change the curtains i don't like things that match i use the same color zones but i just mix it up a bit my home reflects my taste so put some paint on the walls and just do something that reflects who u are. right now i am going through all my curtains i have saved and they are finding new places to hang also moved all of my elephants to family room group them together looks great if you don't like the color it's easy to change shopping on a budget go to your local thrift stores you can find all kinds of things there and cheaper than the store also go through what u already have when hanging pictures remember that all frames should be the same color i spray paint mine i reuse just about every thing...Show more
Raymon Fiene: congratulations on your new home. While tod! ay's decorating most anything goes that you are comfortable with, you should have some sort of flow from one room to the other. Especially a master bedroom and master bath. Try the same color on the walls in each room with maybe one accent wall. Your shower curtain should have some of the same colors as your comforter on your bed. You can also bring out other colors with your towels and bath mats. Candles are always an accent in both your bed and bath rooms. Make sure you have pictures on the wall in your bath. Pretty towels rolled up and put in a basket are always a welcomed site for a long soak in the tub. If you have room, decorative bottles and jars holding different colored bath salts, soaps, cotton swaps, and cotton balls. In your bedroom make sure you have a bench at the end of your bed or a chair where you can sit to read and relax. Pillows piled on your bed is always a welcomed retreat at the end of a busy day. Make your bedroom and bath your special escape from th! e rest of the world. Have fun with it, you can do it. Hope thi! s helps...Show more
