Danette Slotnick: iF YOUR USING JUST DETERGENT THEN NOTHING .IT WILL DO THEM GOOD TO SOAK OVERNITE IF YOUR WASHING BY HAND ANYWAYS.
Rosie Travino: I let our washer full or clothes soak overnight once (our kitty had an accident in the laundry basket!). I completely forgot they were in there until the next morning. Yes, depending on what's in there, you might have some fading, but other than that, I was successful in my soaking! Everything came out juuuust fine :)
Sena Highman: My house fell victim to Hurricane Ike recently. I was at work during the course of the storm, & when I returned home I found that all of my carpets & rugs, hardwood flooring, & tiles had been saturated with water. I removed everything, but I am nervous about the formation of mold. What can I do to prevent it?
Mel Crapo: Soaking your laundry overnight should not do much more than get them especially clean. Unless you've added bleach to the mixture, you should just have some exceptio! nally clean clothes. Just rinse thoroughly in the morning. My Grams used to soak all her laundry, but ESPECIALLY her whites overnight and she had the cleanest stuff on the block and NEVER had any problems with any molding. Good luck!
Emerita Sciandra: Just overnight? They'll be fine. There won't be enough time for them to go mouldy. The worst that can happened is the will be a bit cleaner from the extra soaking! Give the washing a good rinse and hang it out to dry.(Been doing the washing for 30+ years both by hand and with a washing machine but never had a tumble dryer.)
Jackson Esmiol: Hi, i would like to clean my fridge magnets, i am very much into "as green as possible" cleaning products and well, because this magnets are miniatures of kitchen appliances they are a bit difficult to clean, so i was wondering if using a steam cleaner was a good idea, as i do not want to damage them or make them lose the magnet or a small part...Or well, any other ideas are w! elcome...Hopefully someone has a nice tip or 2 :)Thanks in adv! ance...Show more
Marcelle Vanlith: Try your best to ventilate. Rent/buy industrial size fans to push the moist air out and buy a bunch of dehumidifiers. It's worth it if it's going to save your house.
Jannie Ariola: I don't see why not...Great idea! =)
Jannette Kotz: If they are coloured plastic then put them in a bowl of warm water with dishsoap, take a cloth and gently clean them off. You can also use an old soft toothbrush to get into the crevices. If they are plastic with a painted surface, then just wipe them off with a damp cloth.
Burt Stoecklin: i think it would be alright because im not aware that steam has any magnetic properties. but you could just use a wet rag. what kind of fridge magnets are they? heavy pure metal or the almost sticker kind?
Everette Rovinsky: Hi!, they are miniatures of kitchen appliances, mostly plastic with difficult little places to clean them properly, that's why i thought on steam them...
Filiberto ! Ranalli: Sorry, marker on paper is permanent.
Ronny Dorge: depends some might fade
Marna Liddie: Soaked Clothes
Cherlyn Tefera: im in 7th grade and i just found my 1st grade yearbok that i havent seen in years! there are so like 95% of the people in 1st grade with me are also in my middle school today, and i didnt even know it!!! there are so many people that i was like, "they went to my school?!" and its soo cool! but the problem is, i wrote a bunch of stuff in it a few years ago that are private. like, i wrote hearts around my crush's picture(whos still my current crush) i wrote X's over people i hated pictures, and a lot of other stuff. now i really wanna take it to school to show all my friends, but it has too much in it i didnt want anyone to see.(i was only in like 3rd grade when i wrote this stuff. i didnt realize that i just ruined the yearbook) its all written in blue marker. i really wanna take it off but is it even possible?! please answer!...Sh! ow more
Curtis Josef: Clean with clorox..I wouldn't use it on you! r rugs & carpets or any of that but use it on your floor and tile.
Christiane Cattano: nothing , no mold for a day..few days ...mold
Jade Ohno: Don't worry, it wont mold overnight. It should be just fine.
Theresia Fashaw: nothing except they might come out cleaner from soaking.
Debora Soliani: Both of the above posters have good advice and will help greatly.. wash and dry your capreting then spray with Odoball (available in gallon size at sam's club) kills germs and kills odors does not mask them) keep the air moving with fans and as dry as possbile buy one or 2 of the biggest dehumidfiers keep the AC turned on 24/7 to prevent mold build up till it is all nice and dry again
Cecil Derenzi: All of the above answers are helpful but im afraid in some cases the moistures gets into your walls and therefore it may be necessary to re drywall your home as well. Mokd could be in your walls for years and you wouldnt even know it except for the ! cough and flu like symptoms you will feel after a while. Take down some of your drywall and take a peak inside particularly in areas that were extremeky flooded. The good news is that drywall is relatively unexpensive and labor costs are low in most cases. If you need to paint the place anyway why not re-do the drywall just in case. ....Show more
Fritz Sisomphou: Cleaning Alcohol should do the trick.
Jefferson Sarson: If the soap get rancid your clothes get acidic ends up with smelly clothes even how hard you wash-out with top water coz the bacteria has already proliferated it. What I always do if that happens. I have a big caserole on my last wash I put my clothes there and heat it with the fabric softerner so that the bacteria will die eventually. I dont like the smell of bleaches and also it would just ruin the color of my clothes. Then dry hang after see it smells so good.I do it also on socks of my husband when it smells funny....Show more

Ismael Sixon: Soaking is fine, but overnig! ht is enough. Take it to the laundramat and "get 'er done", lest they'll stink!
