Janita Tetlow: What you do is really up to you. If you are both willing to be together- even in different states than go for it. He is obviously willing too- and you both like each other. He didn't say bye because he was upset/sad because you were saying that you couldn't be with him basically when you were saying it was not realistic. He obviously cares for you. (Difference between dating and how you talk now- he's the only one for you. You can't be with anyone else and shouldn't be talking to anyone else the same way.)
