Azalee Ahrendes: Because that's the law. I don't know the original intent behind the law. It would probably be different for each state though. I would guess it is related to the drinking age since so much booze is served in casinos while you're gambling. Also, people under 21 can enter the gaming areas. They just can't stop in the gaming areas. I used to go to Nevada casinos a lot when I was a kid. We would walk through the gaming areas to go to eat or our room. As long as we didn't stop no one ever said a word to us. But if we stopped, even just to let someone pass us or tie a shoe, a casino employee would be right there politely asking us to keep moving. It was pretty clear that when they saw a minor enter the gaming area they kept an eye on them until they left the gaming area....Show more
Reyes Brunell: Because they serve alcohol.
Matt Gerdeman: In Oklahoma you can gamble at 18.In states that require a gambler to be 21, the rules do not prohibit chi! ldren from entering the casino to eat or go to their rooms at the hotel as long as they are with a parent. Those under 21 can not gamble or be around gambling since it would be easy for them to gamble.

Hwa Waterford: Because a casino is basically a big bar with slot machines and dealer tables. They don't want to be held reliable if alcohol was served to a minor. Also, its because of a gambling. You have to be 21 to gamble at a casino. But however, you can still enter the casino to go to their restraunts and not enter the gambling area.
Len Bormes: It's actually not illegal for a person under 21 years of age to enter a casino. As long as they are staying in the casino, eating at a dining establishment that allows family'! s, heading to an entertainment section (such as an arcade), et! c. As for whether or not someone under 21 can just hang out in a casino, the answer is no. Gambling is against the law, unless it's at an Indian Casino for anyone under 21 years of age. At an Indian Casino, the age is 18 years old at least in the state of California. I have taken kids into casinos many times, as long as they are not loitering around, and are with an adult, no one cares....Show more
